UE Service Center Workers

On August 14 and 15th, the west coast Negotiating Committee of Northrop Grumman met with the Company and reached agreement on a number of outstanding issues.

Four UE Local 1008 members went to visit Senator Barbara Boxer's office in Los Angeles on Friday, August 15th to follow up on the May 5th letter she signed demanding that a fair and equitable contract be settled by the companies by August 1st.

On Tuesday, August 12, a delegation of UE Local 1008 members met with the staff of Rep. Loretta Sanchez at her District office in Garden Grove.

Despite Stanley's position at the negotiating table, the company CEO assures stockholders that the USCIS service center contracts are making money for the company.

On August 11th John Tracy, a field representative of U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy met with service center workers in Vermont to discuss their struggle for a fair contract. Workers explained that all it would take to settle this contract would be a decent wage increase and restored personal days. The company would even get reimbursed for wages and benefits under the Service Contract Act, so there is no reason to delay any longer.

The UE Washington Office has gone into action to alert Congressional lawmakers to Stanley's conduct and their attempts to stall contract negotiations.
